Owning a business requires maintenance to ensure that everything is in good working condition and to prevent mishaps and damages. One maintenance item to consider during or before winter is your furnace. Here are the top furnace maintenance tips to ensure your furnace stays functioning all winter long.

Commercial Furnace Maintenance: 101

  • Swap Air Filters – To promote proper heat flow, call us to switch out your air filters every few months. If you have a filter that is more permanent, it should be cleaned out and washed periodically. When air filters are replaced or cleaned often, fewer dust particles are making their way to your HVAC system while extending the lifetime of your heating and cooling system.
  • Clean Heat Exchanger – While your heating system is disabled, have a professional vacuum your heat exchanger annually. The professional will also inspect your heat exchanger for cracks which could otherwise result in leaks of carbon monoxide.
  • Clean & Lubricate Blower Motor – Depending on your motor, it may or may not need to be lubricated. If it does, we can simply shut off the blower motor and clean the caps and then remove them to lubricate the bearings.
