Our team offers a range of high-quality heating products to help you keep your business comfortable this winter.
Here at L&B Mechanical, we want to help you keep your business facility warm and comfortable this winter, and we offer a range of heating products to help you do just that. The three most popular methods of heating are boilers, furnaces, and heat pumps, and our team has the right experience to provide top-notch service for all three. In this article, we’ll go over more about these different heating products to help you determine if the option you have is the best fit for your needs.
As the name suggests, a boiler uses water to distribute heat throughout your building. Boilers use either natural gas flames or electrical heating elements to turn water into steam, and this steam is then circulated through your facility via pipes. The heat from the pipes radiates into the room to give you the warmth you need.
A furnace uses heating elements to raise the temperature of the air, rather than water, and the warmed air is then distributed through the building via ducts and vents. While you won’t have to worry about potential leaks, a furnace’s reliance on moving air can spread dust and allergens around.
Unlike the previous two heating products, a heat pump does not produce heat of its own, but rather collects it from other sources. In the winter, a heat pump takes in heat energy from the sun outside and circulates it through the inside of your building, while in the summer this process happens in reverse to keep your facility cool. This option is highly energy-efficient, but can require more maintenance and upkeep–if you’re not sure which heating method is right for you, we at L&B Mechanical encourage you to talk it over with one of our experts.
